i've got some lyrics written down, but there's only one problem....i can't think of ANY music at all to go along with it!! I can't even think of any chords!! i'm trying to come up with something unique and original....but my mind is drawing a complete blank. any help??? if you guys have ever been stuck in this problem, how do you pull yourself out of it???

ok well....i've been playing guitar for about 3 years now, i'm very familiar with most major, minor, bar, and some 7th chords. umm....i play mostly rock and blues but i don't really like to limit myself to those two styles, i can play both acoustic and electric guitar, i pretty much listen to ANYTHING when it comes to music, whether it be from bluegrass to heavy metal, and finaly, i'm leaning more towards a rock or alternative type of feel with this song, even though that doesn't really narrow it down much lol so, let me know if that's any help or if i left out anything!! thanks!
Might I suggest something like , 100 bpm , D/D/U U with a palm mute / D Sort of strum
