" Take what you can from your dreams and make them real as anything " - Dave Matthews.
Here is a site I found through reading through these forums: http://www.blueslessons.net/eindex.htm
Also I have a book I have been using. It's published by Alfred: Beginning Acoustic Blues Guitar By Lou Manzi.
Try your local music store or Barnes & Noble or Border's. Here's the ISBN 0-7390-3673-4 It also has a CD with it.
I belong to another forum, Big Road Blues, and it's a great place to focus on the blues. Both acoustic and electric. Check it out! http://www.bigroadblues.com Another mod here, Ricochet, also belongs to Big Road, in fact, he's the one that turned me on to it!

Yeah, it's a cool place. There and here are my main hangouts.

Drove other to that blues site. Very blue, reminds me of my old Apple IIGS and typing in white on a blue background. Reading about someone finding parlor guitars at Goodwill. Guitars at Goodwill! I cannot believe that. Amazing. But thanks for the link, it's in the guitar bookmarks as we speak. 8)

I stop by a couple of local Goodwill stores on occasion, but all they seem to have for instuments is an ocassional Bontempi "magic chord" organ with keys that stick down.
But that doesn't stop me from making the rounds to a bunch of pawn shops, second hand stores, and other places that things show up used and cheap.
Ya just never know.
I wrapped a newspaper ’round my head

You know, I've never gone into a Pawn Shop. The bars on the windows and videos from 'Shocking Store Camera Videos' showing those places getting robbed as well as remembering back in the day the Pawn Shop was the place Starsky and Hutch would go to talk to shaddy drug related people. I've never seen a guitar in a goodwill, I will go in one on the rare occasion looking at the paperbacks. The thread was in the acousitc blues section, I didn't find out where these music instrument carrying goodwill's were at but then I didn't read the rest of the thread either.

Pawn shops are GREAT places to look for instruments! There are several around here that I check on regularly! I hate to say it, but a couple of my own guitars (and amp) have spent time in pawn shops when I found myself short of funds (but they always came home in the exact same condition that I left them). Funny thing is, though, every time I went back to get it/them out of hock I'd find something else that I wanted to buy! And, they have layaway!!!
