Bought that pretty jazzbox at musiciansfriend.com... waiting till it comes to Russia...
I've been playing an Ibanez AS73 model for some time, liked it much!
But the only thing that bothers me about the artcore series is that they're made in China...
If there are any artcore-players, do u guys have complaints?
AK85's deck, as far as I know, is made not like usual Ibanez's artcores (they're mostly made of flamed maple) - it's made of sycamore and spruce.
Can anyone tell me what to expect from this guitar?
Ive owned the af75 for about 8 months and I have no complaints whatsoever. I love the warm feel that it has, especially with a nice set of flatwounds. I didn't even know that the guitar was made in China until you mentioned it. I don't really see the place where it is made as important as the end result which in this case is a quality guitar.
You can dance, you can dance, everybody look at your pants.
So where's the guitar now? You sold it or what? If yes, then why?
i still use it and its going strong

I've looked at some Artcores that were made in Korea. I thought they all were. I like 'em, anyway!

have you looked inside the top F-hole? the inscription says "MADE IN CHINA"... i guess it relates to all artcore series, except UNITED series...
Yes, I've looked in the F-hole of a bunch of Artcores that said "Made in Korea." Hadn't seen one that was "Made in China." I guess they're following the same path that lots of others have gone. Some nice guitars are made in China, though.

hmm... Korea... I wonder if they differ...
and I also wonder where was made the guitar I've ordered ...
You'll soon find out!

Am looking at the same guitar for myself as well. Have only played it for a little, so can't comment much on it. Heared pretty much nothing but good stuff about, and it looks awesome.

and what did you decide?
you say you played it? how did you like it? where was it made in?
no more comments?
Sorry, forgotten this topic a bit. In short: I cannot properly comment on the quality of this instrument. On itself it looked awesome, played nice and sounded decent, but the setting wasn;t really perfect. Played for about 3 minutes or so, and it was setup with .10 strings, which are very light for these kind of guitars. Combined with my rather limited expirience with other hollows I must admit that I can't say how good this one is. Seemed very nice, but I need to try more and longer to properly comment on it.
