i dont understand why e minor pentatonic scale works for those four chords ( E, G, D, A) should it not be d flat minor? and if not why? is it because of the G?

Note in Em pentatonic: E-G-A-B-D-E

Notes in E major: E-G#-B; two in the scale, dissonance between G in the scale and G# in the chord. Dissonant 3rds are a characteristic sound of blues.

Notes in G major: G-B-D. All in the pentatonic scale.

Notes in D major: D-F#-A. Two in the scale, the other chord tone missing. No dissonance.

Notes in A major: A-C#-E. Same as D major, no dissonance.

It'll also work ok over C and B chords. The B will have a dissonance on the third, just like E... C has two chord tones in the scale, with the root missing.
