Does anyone own one of these or similar? I was checking it out at my local music store. Its Korean made and under $600. Still it has a solid top and very nice action and incredible sound. One of the nicer non-american made acoustics I have ever played.

Neil Young: Volume.
Total Guitar magazine reviewed the Masterbilt last month and gave it the thumbs up.

The more I play it the more I like it. I guess if I can sell a few more kitchen cabinets this month I can stop stalking it and buy it!

Don't wait around! Funny thing happened to me yesterday. I've been "stalking" a guitar myself. The local GC had a Gibson J100 jumbo acoustic on clearance for $1400. Out of my price range, but as the weeks dragged on, I was getting closer and closer to convincing myself to grab it with the tax refund.
Well, yesterday I went in to GC for my weekly lunchtime fun session. I played a few, then grabbed the Gibson. Man, gorgeous sound, great feel. I was VERY close to putting down some money. I put it back up, some older gentleman comes in, strums it a few times and puts it up, moves on to others. 10 mins later, I pick it back up. I sit down and strum a few chords, the dude is back, with a salesman. He says, "Oh, he's got it right there." The guy buys it right out of my hands!!!
So....moral of the story? If you really think you want it, don't wait!
Been there, done that, been forced to buy many other guitars to slake my overwhelming sadness.
Oddly enough it was a Gibson 180EC
I just bought a Masterbilt DR-500M last week. Solid spruce top and solid mahogany sides. The DR-500P is maple and the DR-500R is rosewood. Check out my post from last week under " Guitar Players Discussion: New Acoustic = Happy"
Look at my last post to see why I chose this guitar.
