I'm goign to buy a new tele but I'm not sure I have two options and I want some opinions.
I play in a Christian Southern Rock group, and on occasions play with a country band or two.
So I need edge for the rock and twang for the country.
My current options I have to decided between are the American Deluxe Tele with T-1 Switching or a Nashville Deluxe Tele
The only bad thing about the Nashville is its not American!!!! and for me the T-1 Switchin on the Deluxe is pointless I've played one several times and Can not find a use for that switch. Also there is the $600.00 difference.
So would a nashville tele be good for my style? or do I need to just cough over the money for the Deluxe?
BTW... I currently Play a Mexican Sunburst Tele

a regular American tele is perfect for what you do. the nashville is pretty, but get a workhorse.
a Hwy 1 is an excellent all American tele for a fraction of the cost. you do not need bell and whistles or humbuckers.
a plain ol tele has worked for thousands of awesome players.
it will work for you.
