I'm trying to find some backing tracks to practice with and would like some sites that have some good ones. I've searched several search result pages in Yahoo and all I can find is blues, blues, slow blues, classic blues, modern blues and another other type of blues imaginable. Getting kinda frustrated as I don't like the blues. So if anyone knows a site that has some hard rock/metal backing tracks would really help.
I havn't found my tone yet, and I have no mojo....but I'm working on it :)
Not quite what I'm after. I'm looking for jam tracks. Sorry, I should've said that in the first post.
Here's a plug.
It's me.
The previews on the discography page are 4-5 minute MP3 files. Minimalist, ambient, drones, ect. Give it a shot. Something different.

I know you probably want something a little harder but check this site out. Even though it says blues there are other rock oriented tracks to try.

It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
Just out of curiosity what is the differance between a jam track and a backing track?

Well I think she's looking for just a chord progression that she can solo over versus a backing track for a particular song...but I may be wrong
