Last night, I satisfied a desire - and my wife was fast asleep in bed, at the time.
Last night, I succumbed again to the temptation of ebay and bought this:
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7326121073&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
I have no idea of new price in the UK, but in the US it seems to be traded for around $8-900 new, with case.
I'm now going to have to endure another week, at least, of nail-biting.
Oh, yes, the ding (or was it a dong?). The seller sent me 2 pics of the offending damage, which seemed far too shy to show itself on camera.
I played one of these guitars, when I was in Bangkok, recently - they are very well made and look beautiful - the pickups are pretty good as well. The most important bit - the neck - suits me to a "T".
So, unless it arrives in bits, I'll be a very happy bunny.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Thay's a nice lookin' axe. As soon as you get your recording situation resolved, you'll have to post some sound clips.
Nice find, keep us updated.
That's the strap button.
nice axe, greybeard, but boy are you gonna get it when the mrs. finds out, dont tell her, say a distant relative left it to you lol, good job.
She's a beauty all right :D
My wife already knows - she knew before I bid.
I'm just dying to get my hands on it. Luckily the previous owner is a jazz player, who just found the guitar a little heavy for the blood vessels in his right leg. His bad luck :D :D

Thanks, Joe. I think it may well take a few weeks of intensive practice to get used to it - could even be months - or longer ! 8) 8) 8)

Congrats Graham!!!
I went out to buy an acoustic with a cut-away last Saturday - was very, very tempted by a very similar looking Epiphone....£500 - I even came out of the shop, went to the pub to talk it over with Marilyn, she decided I could have it....so I went and bought he acoustic instead.....
Reason? I can always get the Epiphone next week.....
:D :D :D
