I have a question about archtop guitars. aka jaz guitars.
I understand the impact that a full hollow body vs semi-hollow body will have when the guitar is played acoustically.
but how will the difference between hollow and semi will affect the guitar when it's played electrically ?

It's a fuller, more mellow tone.

string choice seems to make a difference. I had certain settings on my Ibanez Hollowbody using roundwounds. Then I changed strings to Flatwounds. I am getting more feedback with same settings. Maybe it is the metal composition of the string. Slightly different guages, but really think that would be negligible.

It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!
