Ok, as some of you may know, I am in the market for a new guitar. I'm looking for an american strat/ American deluxe strat. I've been checking ebay and I found a great texas special fat strat in a nice cherry sunburst color.

This looks pretty good, but then I said to myself that I could upgrade my current squier fat strat with some texas special/sd pearly gates pups.

This made me look for a basic 3 single coil version. I also am looking for one that might have the S-1 switching system as well.

So I'm torn between this beautiful texas fat strat and a 3 single coil version.

I don't know what to pick.

Thanks Dudes!

Have you played either of them?

I've played a standard strat, not american, and a squier fat strat. Where the problem comes from is that if I were to buy the fat strat, I may regret never having a standard 3-single coil version.

If your not pleased with your choice sell it for what you bought it for and get the other one.
