Kaki's proud dad posted about that appearance on the http://musicplayer.com/ guitar board.

I stumbled upon a live Kaki King show at the Knitting Factory in NYC a few years ago (2? 3?). I had never heard of her and we just stopped in after walking by from a nearby Christmas party. I sat at the bar about 5 feet from her while (what seemed to be her) dad sat next to us. Great show! She seemed rather young and I think was relatively unknown at the time.

She uses the guitar more like a drum and throws in a few power chords. Interesting.
Nifty, I think Justin King's stuff is more complex, but there's a lot ot be said for making a style that's inherently so crazy looking seem simple and sound good.

Both of her CDs are fantastic. I highly recommend them. There was a tab for one of the songs on her newest CD in Acoustic Guitar magazine. I will feel like such a badass if I can actually ever learn to play it!
