My old Sydney (Australia) band 'The Train' used to do a rip-snortin' version of Layla, with Kevin Bennett singing lead and playing rhythm. I did a dropped D slide part which I just uploaded at http://www.thatllteachyou.com/lay/ if anyone is interested in a different approach to this classic.

There's a live version of the Neville Bros "Fear, hate, envy, jealousy' that we did back a few years ago here: http://www.thatllteachyou.com/fhej.html ... man I miss playing with those guys!

Cheers,

Kirk

What are you using for your slide? It looks like some type of tape.

And as always, nice playin'!

Thanks tracker.

It's just a heavy brass slide, like the one below. I have them made for myself, and I also sell them from my site, but I'm away from home, Australia, for a year and they won't be available til I get back next May. They're nice and heavy.
