Anyone ever play a Martin D12X1? They list for about $800 but I saw one on Music 123 for $549.

Opinions....please.

I have the 6 string version of that and it's great. Good tone, but laminated back and sides with a solid top. it doesnt have much of a finish at all. the neck is made of a composite material, not real wood, but I believe nowadays the fretboard and bridge are made of rosewood (mine's made of micarta). Doesn't have the volume and projection of a higher end martin, but i couldnt find a single guitar that sounded better for under $600...at least to my ears
