Well I took advice from some here and took my lil ol acoustic to the guitar shop to have it looked at. Sure nuff they are going to adjust the bridge (I think) too help the action. All for free since I bought it there.

But of course I couldnt go all night without playing and there just HAPPEN to be a sweet Cherry Burst Ovation CS257 Electric/Acoustic hanging on the wall... so I bought it. heh

I really love this guitar. It feels and sounds so good.

I cant wait to get my other back though so I can see what the difference a good setup makes.

I hope the two dont get jealous. :D

Congrats. My son has an Ovation and loves it. It plays pretty nice.

By the way, whenever you go for a setup you are not required to buy another guitar.

I don't think you need to worry about jealousy since guitars love company.

Congrats! Yeah, Ovations are great. The only thing I don't like about them is that they slip so easily. :?

I love Ovations. When I was first looking for a decent aucostic/ electric, i fell in love with them. Then I read up on their history and admire them as a company. I now own an old Ovation electric, and hope to add more to my collection when I get the moolah.

You may need to purchase an intermediary (another peice of equipment)
to settle them down till they get used to the idea of sharing your time.

Doh!! Why isn't that listed in the lessons for beginners section here at GN??

OR maybe this is my hook into the entertainment industry. I will be the first person to play two guitars AT THE SAME TIME!! :D
Then I read up on their history

I will have to go look at that. I saw the "history of" on their website but I didnt click it.

Thanks everyone for the support and congrats!!

I have the same model, and color. I have had it a year, and had to have it set up by the luthier also. the action was too high. Only He screwed up the piezeo pickup when he adjusted the bridge, and had to roder another one.

Then a couple of weeks later I was using a radio shack instrument cord....with gold plated plugs on the ends (Emergency), and the cord screwed up the jack/switch. and I had to replace it.

even so, It is my favorite of all my guitars.

I'm sorry to burst the bubble, but purchasing a guitar is mandatory whenever entering a guitar store and the manager of my local store confirms this.

Come on you guys if you want to play guitar, you have to know the rules. :D
