these are my sweeties.
the Martin on the left is almost four years old. it is a 00016GTE, it's mahogany with a spruce top.
it is powered by a Fishman Blender pickup system.
it is opening up nicely. it has a big bottom end. the highs are mellowing out; they arent as tinny as i thought they were.
the action is excellent. I like the neck it is so fast.
this is my flatpicker dream guitar.
the resonator is only months old. she arrived in November.
it is a Model D in walnut. it is a square neck, meaning it is played lap style. it is loud.
I have this tuned to open G. I play blues, bluegrass, some Page licks and I have found some eastern sounding licks too.
other players ask mye to turn down.
does anyone know where the volume knob is?
it is hard to believe but these two instruments are my most costly.
link for pic not working for me

Well, I've had some requests, but I'm going to play anyway.

I hope you're not serious. It's jsut a nickname/type of name that people use to refer to guitars.

sorry, but i'm afraid he is serious
it's probably a cultural chasm i'm afraid, i don't think eastern folks refer to inanimate objects by a gender referance the way we westerners do.
Rahul please accept our apologies and know that we mean no insult to women around the world.
we now return you back to the thread which hopefully is still in progress  ........
