Hi, I recently purchased my first pedal (digitech screamin blues if anyone cares). I put the battery in and plugged it in. After a few days of playing with it I realized it was out of battery. I left it turned off after each time I played it but it still wore down the battery. How come this happened and how can I avoid it? Do I have to take the battery out each time I play it or just unplug it from the amp?
Thanks Dudes!

When you're done playing, pull the cord out of the pedal on the guitar (input) side. Leaving it plugged in on the amp side is fine.

I gave up batteries a while back: they are sometimes convenient, but mostly after you've gone through a few the cost ends up being greater than just buying the A/C adapter. Plus with an adapter, and you never have to worry about carrying a spare.
