Have any of you built one of the saga guitar kits? If so, how did it turn out?
I really don't care about the pups or tuners because I am asuming that they are crap. Besides, I have a closet full of spare hardware and electronics.
I'm more curious as to how the whole thing went together. Are the cuts made right, are the holes drilled right. Do you actually end with a playable guitar?

I built one and I changed the pickups and tuners.
It was a fun project. I may look at putting twin humbauckers in it.
Hey Doc, did your Saga kit actually come with the MOTS pickguard? If so, I'm impressed -- pretty good for a low-priced kit.
I've seen the unassembled parts for the Tele version. The only problem I noticed was the bridge pup cavity was a little off, and maybe in need of some reshaping to allow for wiring clearance. It was pretty minor stuff.

Sorry I replaced the pickguard too.
The pickups were pretty good but I just wanted to change them.
