Wow, that bare wood look is just the bees knees. I love the look of unpainted solid bodies. Great job. :)
Cheers,
Chris
the LP kit looks v nice -- even a set neck. also -- and this is a biggie -- no grain filler/sealer, just naked wood. Saga kits come with a heavy coating of grain filler/sanding sealer that makes it impossible to stain for certain transparent finishes effects. I found that to be a big problem.

Swampy looks great. nice work Scrybe.
you have properly motivated me to finish up a couple of lap steels.

Sweet, good stuff dogbite! Be sure to post pics when you're done! I wanna make me a lap steel some day (partly because they're damned difficult to buy over here).
Oh, and I really really really did mean to reply to your Nashville guitar pm, but I forgot (I'm crap like that sometimes). Will do tomorrow am. Promise!
Dogbite is sending PMs to you too! . . . that dog.
Have you no shame, DB?
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

Well, I started it.... :P
Oh . . . . well then it's OK.
By the way, you do realize that you must get a white leather strap for Swampy . . . don't you?
Nothing else will do.

I had taken a slew of pics while I was building one lap steel. Scrybe you may like those.
I have three pickups and I need to decide what goes where.
I won't hijack this mod thread. I'll post somewhere else.
ps: I do have shame, just no pride.
wait, is it the other way around?
