Hey guys, I was just wondering if you could give me a hand in figuring out a part of a song. The song is called 'Waiting...' by City and Colour. Anyway I've figured out most of the song from tabs and listening to it a lot, but I'm having troubles finding the second chord in the chorus and verse (which I believe are the same chord). It will probably be very obvious to you guys but I've only been playing a couple of months.
Heres the video:

And a live version if that helps:

He plays it with a capo on second and i think its in the key of E... but then again I'm probably wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated :D.
Thanks in advanced.
Nath
Not sure, I've never heard this song and I don't have a guitar in front of me.
I looked up the tab and found this..hope it helps..Tuning: Standard (Capo 2)
Chords
e|--0---0---0---0-------------------|
B|--0---0---0---0-------------------|
G|--0---0---0---0-------------------|
D|--2---2---4---5-------------------|
A|--2---3---5---5-------------------|
E|--0---3---5---3-------------------|
I will try to figure it out over the weekend if possible
Teamwork- A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.
To me it sounds like F#m to A. So with a barre at the 2nd fret, play an Em and then G. He may also be adding the B note on the G string on the A chord, which is an A add 9 I believe.
Capo at 2nd fret
F#m A A add9
e----2-------5r-----5r--
b—---2-------2------2---
g—---2-------2------4i--
d—---4r------2------2---
a—---4m------X------X---
e—---2-------5m-----5m--
I have included the notes on the high E string, but I didn't really hear them in that video.
My guitar was a little out of tune to the video, but I think these might be the chords.
First time I've heard that song, but I liked it very much, that guy has a great voice and it is a beautiful melody.
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
City & Colour are one of my bands, if you can call it a band, its mainly one guy (Dallas Green of Alexisonfire) I'd really recommend it to anyone who likes acoustic music or strong vocals.
Thanks for the help, I usually tend to play a G shape chord (which would be A with the capo on second) and move my third finger up to the second string, but looking at the way he plays it, it seems to be something else... also he use's a lot of hammer ons and pull offs to vary the chords, which i really like, but I don't really know my way around the fretboard well enough to do that yet :).
Thanks already though :D.
