Well with the money received from Christmas, I am thinking about getting a nice little wah pedal. What are some recommended pedals with a pricetag of no more than $150.
Gracias
I like a cry-baby, Iv'e had mine for 30 years and its still works well and has a classic sound i like. I paid about $20 for mine  ( i'm old) but I think they are still well under $100--the dog
I got a Cry Baby for Xmas and had a Morley Classic Wah. Both are good pedals and both well under $100.
Try to get your hands on a Vox 848, should fall just wihin your budget. Else just go with the Crybaby.
Yeah i've got a CryBaby. Really solid wah pedal, reasonable price.
Hard to beat the CryBaby. (Though I did have to take the footswitch out, remove a locknut and reseat it to get the pedal to turn it on and off.)

Not that hard to beat a cyrbaby. A proper bypass would be enough...
Thanks for all the help, seems like a crybaby is a pretty good way to go...
Arj,
Why do you prefer the Vox 848? I'm looking into a pedal myself.

It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
For a number of reasons:
1) The bypass of the Vox is much better then the one of the Crybaby. The CB simply and obiously sucks quite some tone, which is nasty. REALLY nasty.
2) The Vox is much smoother and warmer sounding. Matter of preference.
3) Thin highs with the CB. When using it with heavy distortion it seems to even lower the input into your amp somehow, the gain takes a noteable drop when going to the trebbly side.
Don't get me wrong, the CB is a great pedal for it's money, but it ain't the best by a long shot.
Arjen,
Thanks for the update. I'm gonna try and check some out over the weekend at Guitar center.

Arjen's got his opinion, so do I. I've heard some mighty good music played with Crybabies. (So have you.) It's a classic. Not perfect, of course. But a classic sound.

It all comes down to what kind of sound you like, I find the cry baby has a versatile sound to it and is almost indestructible (the body is cast metal of some kind) I've had mine for almost 30 years with no repairs :D :D if you go to musicians friend.com you can probably listen to some samples--the dog
Doesn't anyone use Morely anymore?
Any stock wah, unless u get a really nice one like a budda, is gonna be less than par. There is a cool site out there that mods stock cry babies. You can by one new and modded for like a hundred bucks, or buy all manner of assorted mod kits and DIY! I got the true bypass and tone mod kit, so now my wah is one of a kind and it smokes. Its wicked cool. So buy a crybaby stock and then mod it.
