Doesn't anyone use Morely anymore?
I like Morley wah's over the crybabies. I have always preferred the morley's travel, I feel like I can be more precise.
I have the Mark Tremonti model, not because I'm a Creed fan (I'm not) but because of it's step on->engage feature and level switch, both of which I find very useful. The Vai signature model (Bad Horsie) has all that plus a Q control, but the Tremonti's setting suited me fine.
It's very nice for songs where you're putting in those little treble stabs, and then occasionally you hit one with a nice little burst of swtichless wah.
Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life...
If I were going for another one I'd probably try the VOX. Back when I wanted one the VOX's had been discontinued (late 70s) I think. I wanted a VOX but 'settled' on the Dunlop Crybaby. It's a great pedal and I used it a LOT at one point. I did back the pot off a couple of teeth worth so it wouldn't be so trebly, but other than that it's always worked fine.
But...now that they're back, I'd try a VOX. :)
The Morley's I didn't like just because they were so big at one point; it wouldn't fit on my pedalboard. I do like the opto electric concept though and would probably get one of the volume pedals. I've changed the pot in my old DeArmond about 6 times already. I might try a Hilton volume pedal though. :)
I have the Vox 848 and I love it. Arjen's right when he says it doesn't affect the tone as much. I barely notice a difference.
Anybody ever try out the weeping demon by ibanez?? Kind of wondering if it is a good pedal or not. Heard a lot of mixed things about it..
