My instructor typically charges $35 / hour.

Same here. 20 for 30 or 40 for 60 for the teachers with good reps.

I get $20/30 at my house... when I teach at the music school they bill me out somewhere higher than that (and get folks to pay more than a month in advance!) And last year at a charity auction, I got bid up to $100.

I pretty much teach the same way, though, if its $20 or $100 doesn't make any difference :)

There is a waiting list around here also at all 3 store near me. So the rate is not going down, but I think that is a fair charge. Last night was my 1st lesson and I got the info from the other thread and was pleased with the results.

Golly, I'm getting ripped off and I still got one of the best prices in town! Good thing I got a great teacher.
