Slej, that's a neat looking guitar! Are those chrome inlays? I've never seen that before.

I love the block inlays in that rosewood fretboard. Interesting strat. A strat which isn't it really.

haha, guess I wasn't the only one to look past the guitar at that piano, I believe that's what you call a purty piano (yeah, not what you wanted to know hehe).

The guitar went for $271 and some change. Someone is a happy camper.

Unfortunately, it's not me....

I saw a Tele like that in a store on Monday...very interesting, I've always been a fan of the rectangular inlays.

Why would you want a humbucker in a stratocaster? Aren't there enough stratocaster-style guitars with humbuckers around?

So people can have a Fender Stratocaster but with something a little different?

Its a bit strange to question why they put humbuckers in Strats. Some people prefer H/S/S or H/H configurations to single coils...

All because there are a lot of knock offs doesn't mean Fender should stop making them...

Why would I want a humbucker in a Stratocaster? How about because I already have a Hwy One Strat with SSS configuration? I love the Strat's contoured body and the neck, and I would love to have that shape combined with a hummer for a different sound.

Are there enough strat-style guitars with hummers around? Maybe, but the only one that matters to me is the one I would like to be playing. And IMO the one at the top of this thread is one hella good-looking guitar.

To me, it's just stupid. There are millions of guitars who have the same contoured body and neck but with a h/s/s configuration. If you really prefer this configuration, why not pick one of those guitars? To me, if you want a strat, you get a strat. If you don't want a strat you get something else. Why? For the same reason it's stupid to put a whammybar and high-gain pickups on a telecaster. There are already guitars suitable for you if that's what you want.

Well, that's your preference.

Strats don't float my boat and I don't have one personally. But lots of folks love 'em. I say get what you want, how you want it, and be happy with it.
