Does anyone know anything about these types of strings. I was thinking of putting some on my acoustic because these strings apparently have less tension, but does it sound worse than normal bronze strings? And could the lower tension effect the neck or intonation? Thanks.

Sound good when new but tend to go dead pretty quickly. At least they did for me; ymmv.

Yes, the lower tension will probably affect the neck relief.

I strung my guitar with a set of "GHS Silk and Bronze" this afternoon. Yes, they have less tension but I come from Martin Phosphor Bronze 13s. I'm very happy with the new set and sound even better than the originals. I'll see if I can maintain them fresh or they go dead quickly as the Mitch's ones.

they do go dead fast. I've had the same problem. They last 3 weeks tops, which sucks because they're more expensive.
