I just purchased an Ovation Custom Balladeer Acoustic/electric, The action seems to be way to high, and it looks like the truss rod could use some adjustment. What is the average cost to have a good music shop do a complete setup??

cost me £20 (approx $30) to have my acoustic's action lowered incl a set of new strings

Hey there..
I just found this thread...hope I can still help.
You can adjust action on an Ovation by either adding or subtracting shims that are under the saddle. At times they come from the factory set at the high end. Just take out a shim or two out yourself.
If that does not do it, then take it to someone.
