Does anyone use the JLD Bridge System - Bridge Doctor?
http://www.jldguitar.net/

It's a wood support system that mounts under the bridge and helps straighten tops of acoustic guitars that have pulled up from string tension.

I have two older acoustics that I've shaved the saddle down as far as is can go and the action is still a tiny bit high.
The Bridge System would be an alternative to a neck reset, which is costly.

I figure it's worth a try for $35.

Yes -- put one on my Guild 12 string. It doesn't actually straighten the top by itself, but prevents further bellying. If you need to reverse the bellying that may require removal of the strings, careful weighting of the top (some books) over a period of time until some bellying is reversed, then installation of the Bridge Doctor to hold the line from there.

This might have made a difference: I did my Bridge Doctor installation when regluing the bridge. I found weighted flattening of the top was reasonably easy without the bridge in place. Then before regluing, I did some reshaping (flattening) of the underside of the (distorted) bridge to match the improved, more flattened contour of the body.

Good luck.
