Fender Squire Problems!

I know this seems pretty obvious to you lot, but should I take off the plastic coating on the scratchplate? It's gone all bubbly and I'm not too sure what to do with it....

Its only purpose is to keep the pickguard/scratch plate looking pristine until the sale. Go ahead and remove it.

ASAP, as the longer you wait to remove it, the more difficult it is to do.

if you want to be thorough and take it off from round the knobs, you can lift the knobs off with two plectrums

Yeah, I have a squier tele custom, and when I got it, I had an awful time getting the plastic off. I had to take off the neck to get it out of under the fingerboard extension for the 22nd fret.
