Hello! Yamaha Pacifica Questions

Hello! I have a Yamaha Pacifica I picked up on the cheap!! :D :D The jack looks like it has been stepped on so I'll have to replace that. It also looks like someone had a hay day with the wiring and I have a loose chord that I have no idea where it goes. My guess is it goes to the tone pot but I'm really not sure. Here is a couple pics. Also I would like to know if anyone has any input modding their pacifica. Im looking to have fun with it. Ill be replacing the tuners because they are crap. I was going to go with a olympic white pick gard, with gold hardware. But was curious as to what you guys would do. I really want to put some texas specials in it. Anyways Im running on.....
