Mike from Empire guitars in Prov, RI here. We just started working on a set of vintage guitars we got in and discovered that a guild starfire 4 and a gibson hummingbird in our stock have collected a fair amount of mold and mildew both in the cases and in the bodies of the guitars themselves. I've found a good deal of information on cleaning the cases but very little on getting the guitars themselves clean. Are there any good commercial cleaning solutions on the market? Solutions we could put together ourselves? Any particular methods people have had success with? Any serious don'ts that we should know about?
