Hello all,
I have recently purchased a Fender Stratocaster with a beautiful sunburst, however, the previous owner has painted on a mural over the bottom end of the guitar. I am really keen to work out a way of removing the mural without damaging the original paint/finish.
I was hoping somebody might have some experience with this and have some suggestions for me. Advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I've had very good results from using tape (duct or masking...just something very sticky) to lift unwanted artwork. That & a super fine sandpaper followed by buffing compound (by hand or buffer) works a treat. If the instrument has a poly finish it'll be relatively thick & very forgiving.
