I am finding that lately on my Strat, it is becoming increasingly difficult to unplug the amp cable from the input jack. I have checked to ensure that the jack is not too tight or too loose. I have also tried different cables, all have the same result.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks,
Jim

Inside the jack, there's a tag with a bend in it. The bend locks into the groove on the cable's connector and the whole tag is sprung just slightly to supply the pressure to keep it there until you pull it out. The jack being too loose or too tight wouldn't affect this, but it might have rotated to a position where the tag can't move outwards easily as you pull the plug out, makign it harder to get the socket's groove out of the bend. You could try loosening the whole jack, rotating it a little and tightening it up again. It'd be pure guesswork/trial-and-error as to how much to rotate it and in which direction, just don't twist it too much as you could damage your wiring if there's not much slack.
