Howdy Everyone! I picked up a new Gibson Hummingbird, it has to be one of the best sounding acoustics I have ever played unplugged. But when I plug it into any of my amps or PA, it sounds awful. The E A and D strings are super loud, and the G B and E strings produce very little sound. I am thinking that there might be a problem with the saddle not fitting right on the pickup. Looking for opinions.

Thanks in adavance!!

I agree, that could be the cause. I recommend pulling the saddle to make sure its bottom is perfectly level. Also check the bottom of the bridge slot for levelness. If all seems okay, try pressing and tapping the saddle back into place to ensure direct contact between the transducer and bottom of the saddle slot and the transducer and the entire length of the saddle. Still no joy? You may need to replace the transducer (pup) element.
