Anyone got experience of adjusting the truss rod on a Larrivee acoustic?

this is in an awkward spot to reach, my question is, can you adjust it with the strings on, or do they all have to be removed? And which way do you turn the nut to reduce the relief?

Thanks

Matt

I think you almost certainly have to remove the strings - the truss rod nut is inside the guitar's body.

Have a look on this page

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Hi,
I have a Northwood which was made by John McQuarrie who used to work for Larrivee. About a month or so ago I changed my strings and for some reason my usually low action became TOO low and I was having fret buzz. My guitar came with a truss rod adjuster that is shaped like the top of a hanger. I was nervous, but decided to try to do it myself. I didn't want to remove my strings if I didn't have to so I loosened the center two so I could access the truss rod and still have enough space when I turned the tool. Took about three tiny turns and tuning up to check for the buzzing. I didn't have to adjust it too much so it worked out just fine. Good luck.
