i have a 2002 les paul standard, neck pickup works fine, bridge pickup works fine, but when i have the switch in the middle position, where both pickups are supposed to work, only the neck pickup seems to be functioning...... i thought it might be a bad 3 way switch, but it seems to be a simple design, and the points are getting contact..... anyone know whats goin on with it?
How can you be sure that the bridge pick up doesn't work ?
I will reseach in that two ways to find out a solution
- the switch
(may you try any contact spray to improve it )
then
- the wires routing or perhaps bad solder, you will have to check for them.
when i have it in the middle position, i test it by the volume knobs...... turning the brige pickup does nothing, and turning the neck pickup volume shuts it all off...
That could be a switch connection problem as well, of course.
