When I pick high E and a particuler fret(3), the G string also resonates. Is this normal?
I am a beginner, my guiter is Takamine S35 acoustic.

Sympathetic vibrations are a normal thing.

Hold down the damper pedal on the piano and sing some bass notes and the strings will start to vibrate.

Glass does the same thing too. That's how sopranos break glass. They hit the pitch of the sympathetic vibration and shake the glass apart.

The last time I saw a Soprano break a glass it was Tony and he was breaking it over someone's head.

Come to think of it, that happens a lot when I sing also.

The reason for the sympathetic resonance is that the 3rd fret fret of the high e is a G - the same as the open 3rd string just an octave higher.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
