I've decided to shield all of my instruments. My FR especially, develops a bit of hum, always has since new. Anyone have any preferences on tape and paint? Even though it is more expensive, I'm leaning towards the paint simply because it is easier to work into small areas.

I suppose tape is more suitable for a pickguard, though. And I see you have to be careful that the tape chosen is electrically conductive on both sides, unless you solder the tape joints together.

I'm looking at shielding paint on Stew-Mac for $32 (+ ship) for a pint can. I might try to find a cheaper source, but I'm not really opposed to paying that since one can will do several instruments.

Comments? Suggestions?
