I have a chance to buy a Squier strat for $85.00 and suposed to need some TLC. I have spare pickups and new set of tuning machines.
So if the neck is straight and the bridge and nut are okay do you think it's worth it?
My daughter is interested in getting it and having me put a cool paint job on it.
I just finished a Saga kit for myself and here is a pic of that one.
You did a great job on that one. I would build it for her. It would be something that she would be happy to have.

Well I got the Squier and she gave it to me for $80.00. It was a little trashed. Needed some TLC. I am still cleaning it up.
The Serial # is E1025XX Does anyone know what year this came out in?
I hade to replace the saddles so I went with Graph Tech's and I also replaced the strings and needed a few screws and a knobs.
Here is a pic of it when I got it. I will post another when I get her all cleaned up.
Yes there are all kinds of sharpie marks all over it.
It is cleaning up pretty well. I have to replace the 1/4" jack it is loose. The intonation is set and the truss rod has been adjusted. I had to shim the neck to adjust the action and she is starting to sound better. I few nicks but overall it seems like a keeper.
I'll post some more pics next week.
I think that pickguard looks pretty awesome. My Ibanez doesn't have one, but if I ever get my hands on that white strat I've been drooling over, I think I'd like to do that to it. I love sharpies
It came out great. You did an excellent job on it. We'll all have to come over and take it for a test drive...lol
