I have a epiphone les paul black beauty with gold hard wear.I'm having trouble with the pickups corroding (ie green stuff) I know its caused by my sweat.Anyone know whats the safest way to remove it?
I wipe the guitar just about everytime I play but its not always possible after a gig especially when very drunk etc.
Any help much appreciated.

playing whilst drunk is only permitted if all band members are in a similar state!

Try a soft bristle toothbrush wouldn't use any water.

Chuck Norris invented Kentucky Fried Chicken's famous secret recipe, with eleven herbs and spices. But nobody ever mentions the twelfth ingredient: Fear!

apply a thin coat of car wax and buff it in.

maybe??? never heard of this .but it occured to me.. could it work?

maybe clear finger nail polish..
ny reasoning is to isolate the surface from your sweat.

what do you all think?
