I like the build, tension, collapse and resolve in your work.

wow - this is the first of your work I've heard and I'm a fan! Love everything about your music, i love your guitar tone! Don't know what kind of rig you have but the result is mighty fine. You are a great artist and I enjoyed your work,

Yeah, my fav too. There have been other virtuoso types and shredders but you are by far the most musical of all the "soloists". But, no fair! You guys have been doing the studio thing for a while. I saw names like Joan Amatrading, Sting and Stevie Winwood in there. Not that I'm complaining....well, I guess I am sort of. I suppose I should be glad to get the free clips but I'm waiting for the full on article on improvisation and tri-tone subs and comping tips. Get writing dude. Apparently you have lots to teach us.

Thanks "Maplebaby"............. On this session I used two guitars a MATON JB6 (solos 1,2 & 4) and a custom thing I designed (solo 3) no amps were used just an old BOSS SE70 multi FX unit. The second solo has some guitar synth mixed in with it. The SE70 has many FX including synth and vocoder, all the overdrive was this unit as well...........

Thanks "Hueseph".................. Hmmm virtuoso type !!! I don,t know about that, I think my technique has evolved through total lack of technique. If you saw me play you would understand basically I know what my fingers can do and my fingering is very, very messy but it gives me freedom. I tend to go for gut feeling more than what scale do I use here. The reason I posted these solos was because I have never recorded a fusion session before and these guys said just go crazy (I really hate it when people say....just go for it) Normally when someone says that to me I go crazy with the sound but this was just the notes (much harder)
As for playing with named artists it dosen,t really mean anything. There are plenty of people who have played or been on tour with big acts but very few who do it all the time year in year out. Iv.e played and toured all over the place over the years, one thing just leads to another but its very hard to get started I can,t live from it I have to do anything conected with music (teaching, programing FX etc) I still do some free sessions (as was this session these clips were taken from) I know some people I consider world class players that have never done any professional playing. I also know some people who have all the best gear and many guitars but can,t even tune up and have no sense of time but have a very good day job!!! .............. :note2: I think what ever you do the most important thing is to play music with other people. :note2:
