Yep, that's my new guitar. I love it. I posted some comments about it on the "I'm looking for . . " board.
Nice guitar Ken! :D

... oooh CONGRATS!!! the first year is EXTREMELY challenging (makes posting on youtube a breeze in comparison lol)but once they are big enough to play together (at least sometimes) it all starts to make sense

No nothing wrong with youtube except that other people are allowed to rate you haha - and on that note - I present to you my first online attempt at singing
- my excuse is that this is my own song and since I'm the only one who knows the lyrics, I pretty much have to sing them kwim

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what it's really all about?

Yes, a pretty song, Stella.
Good job.

Rock on!

I'm nowhere near Chicago. I've got six string, 8 fingers, two thumbs, it's dark 'cos I'm wearing sunglasses - Hit it!

Stella, I'm in awe.
An original composition and singing your own lyrics too. Can I ask did the music come first or the lyrics? I find the songwriting process fascinating.

I'm hoping to post a new video early next week when I have a rare day to myself. A really easy song by Johnny Cash (The original 'Man in Black') called 'I hung my head'. The original version by Sting is pretty hard to play but Johnny strips it right back to its bare bones. I may be inspired to sing too

:o Awesome Stella.. what can I say, seriously impressive!.. beautiful song, I love the mixture of arpeggios and strumming, and base notes.. It's so incredible that you made up an original song.. if I had a hat on, I would take it off to you! Keep on strumming girl, and making new songs, you obviously have the way of it! :P

Oh dear.

Okay so these are some of the things I'm working on. I'm glad I got the sunglasses on this time, so you won't recognize me and I can do anything I like mwahahahahahahaha

This one is played a bit randomly:

Little snippets of things:

(Really I'd need at least TWO pairs of shades to hide the shame on these, but hey, I thought they'd give you a good laugh 8) 8) )

My Gawd!
Excellent!
I have Ten Years After's "I'd Love to Change the World" on my iPod.
Wow. I am really impressed. And singing too.
Now this is fun.
Dylan, the girls are kicking our butt (but in a good way).

Fantastic job, Izzy.

Isabelle OMFG you one rockin mama 8)
Don't forget to save those videos for your kids when they become teenagers - yeah! Mama Izzy could do it all back then, change diapers AND rule the guitar!

Thank you    for all the kind words - I made some notes on the songwriting process in the busking thred, basically nothing I have any control over but thank you anyway!

... thought this might be a good time to explain that stellabloo is something I've used since win98 (!) and it refers to the majestic song "Stella Blue" (by the Grateful Dead), in particular the line " dust off those rusty strings just one- more - time "
... well I've let a lot of things come between me and playing music - work, other forms of recreation, having 3 children ... and I just want to say - hold on to your dreams.
... and for those of us who waited for a mid-life crisis to pick up the guitar, look at me! There's still hope lol

all the way to Memphis....

Well Ken, I feel a bit, well ... - the girls are definitely doing it for themselves - and sounding ggggreat... :D

Just don't let me hear any of them say that they don't think they've improved....

Personally, I think they're all the same person with cunning disguises to make us think the board is loaded with talent...

Maybe its time to shave my legs and take a walk on the wild side..

Rock on girls!

Maybe you're right Dylan, no one ever saw my face on my video... Maybe I'm Isabelle living on 2 different names

Haha

Good job Isabelle! You're improving a lot and real fast!

Pregnant and playing electric guitar? Hey, your kid may be a future rock star hearing you playing like that

I'd like to post a video soon, but I don't know where's my camera... :?

Here's another quick take. You may recognize it as BlackBird. Someday I may actually know what I'm doing.
But it's all fun!
