Hey all....

Well yes, in less than twenty four of our wonderful precious hours I've posted another vid. It's just an adaptation of Come Together which I learned from Stellas' wonderful lesson but I've just spiced it up a bit.

I suppose it's one more step in the direction of writing my own stuff, plus DH likes to mix things up a bit as well so I thought... why not. My artistic license is well and truly out of my wallet eh Stella?

I've also posted this on the top level of here here to give us beginners a shout as I think some of the stuff posted in our thread is worthy of global promotion (not necessarily mine of course... )

Rock on!

I'm nowhere near Chicago. I've got six string, 8 fingers, two thumbs, it's dark 'cos I'm wearing sunglasses - Hit it!

I thought it was my own
I could feel it in my heartbeat
I could feel it in my bones

Good job, Dylan.
As usual, very entertaining.
I like your pre-recital chats too.

So who's banging on the walls?
Did you show them your artistic license to get them to stop?
Are they auditioning for the percussion part of your group?
What are you going to name your band? The Wallbangers?

I only have dial-up here in the mountains so it took about half an hour to download your video.
Worth every second. :P

Rock (and bang) on!

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

 Hey Kenrogers, you've not been too forthcoming yourself..!
Unfortunatley due to a horrendous internet connection I tend to be offline for weeks at a time, and when I do get on, there's so many drop outs I cannot watch any videos - I have to visit cafes or other peoples houses in order to do that - and its not the most sociable thing to do, to surf the net when you go visiting, is it!
So I've only just got to see the last lot of vids - Gosh Stella its incredible how much you've done, you'll have lots of material to busk with at that market! Bet you can't wait!
And Dylan, well its just amazing how much of an improvement there is from when you first started posting, really well done, I've been quite left behind by you now! Very impressive, and very inspiring.

Me, well, I've got kinda stale, and don't seem to be moving along, but Davids podcasts are great and I'll keep practising them :P In the meantime I still can't get 'Wish you were here' sounding any better. Anyhoo keep on rockin' you lot, I love to see how you're all doing!

Thanks, Ignar or is it Arjen (how should I address you, sir)?
I feel sorry for the people who wander into the "Beginner's Videos" part of this forum who have to put up with our attempts at playing the guitar.
I would think that you would have to be part masochistic
You guys are saints for your patience and encouragement.
And believe me, we need both.

When I converted my wmv video to mp4 the file size was almost 3 times as large.
1.7 Mb wmv converted to 5.04 Mb mp4

Have you tried photobucket as a hosting site?

Hey Ken

Dust in the Wind is sounding pretty damn good. I've stopped practicing it for a while now as it was a bit frustrating not getting my pinky to cooperate when I wanted it to... Sounds like you've got it laid down pretty well, it's the transitions that always throw a spanner in the works though eh...

Smokin' - the software you have used to record your file should give you an option to save it in different formats, but I suppose you've looked at that? Either 'save as' or 'export' - there might also be something in the preferences to record direct to mp4.

There's a lot of mp4 converters you can buy but here's a free one...I think :?

Thanks guys, I have a "Microsoft" cam. it only seems to record in WMV format. My micro soft movie editor seems to have problems so I cant use it. I have a photobucket account, the WMV file is just to large to up load

Works for me. Welcome to the wonderful world of webcaming :o
Microsoft's Windows Movie Maker is free and you can use it to edit your video.
At worst you can splice it and upload part 1 and part 2.
Don't know if that helps.

You're making it way too hard on yourself Ken, you're playing almost at double speed!

Me thinks you need to start writing some tunes.
