Meh. I don't understand what people see in guys like this. Yeah he's alright but his blues sounds generic to me. Like any other dude with a pentatonic minor in hand could navigate around the same solos. It just seems to me that he's covered a lot of cliche's. Just my opinion.

Like anything else in life.....its all relative. I liked his playing if I could put that together one day I will be happy with my playing ability. Now saying that I don't have a dream of playing in front of a stadium filled with people. Just a small crowd at any bar would be fine for me.

What that guy could play, he played it very well. It may be your minor pentatonic lead stuff, but its was very tastfull. Great tone, vibrato, phrasing, ect.

I saw nothing wrong with that guys playing, it is what it is and ain't what it ain't. Sure, most folks could play that kind of music, but thats the beauty of it :D :D WE ARE most folks!!! Thats why god made rock-n-roll, so we could have fun also :P I like to listen to stuff like King Crimson, classical music and jazz, stuff i will never be able to play, but i can have a go at 12 bar blues and rock music even if i can't play that well. ...Its just for fun :D --the dog
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with his playing. I just don't find it particularly fantastic, that's all. Not saying that I'm any better either, everyone can make that judgement call on their own.

Dog that is most gracious of you. I find your playing quite good as well. I think it's because I can hear the experience in your playing. With that in mind I can hear that bluesmann8 also has some experience under his belt. He's good at what he does but I think he can be better still. That is the capability is already there he just doesn't seem to have harnessed it yet.
Ya hes pretty good. I know what everyones saying about it being your pentatonic minor deal, but he does it right. I do find it sort of generic, its not something i could sit down and listen to for a long time but glad i heard it.
