This is just the intro to a Blake Shelton song. I think I need to play with the tone a bit more, it still kind of sound a bit off to me.

sounds slightly out of tune. or ,possibly you are fretting with too much pressure. this is common with some one new to electric. they are different beasts. also, add a touch more treble. this sounded muddy. dive into that electric. aren't they fun, hey!
I think you are right, it was out of tune...I remeber tuning it after I recorded it. I did notice that it didn't take as much pressure to fret the strings, F chord Barred is easy on an electric
What do you mean add a touch more treble. I don't have an amp, just the tone knobs and a tone and gain knob on my AmPED headphone amp (okay, well not a real amp anyway).
They are definatley different beasts!

use the tone knob on the guitar. if it's maxed now, then use an amp.
Nice first (electric guitar) recording.
Keep practicing! They are different!
Thanks for the input, I'll tune this thing up and check the tone knob, I see what you mean about being "muddy", and the run it through my headphone amp, and output it to the mic.
In some respects, this guitar is easier to play, in others, it's just so much more difficult. Like, an F chord is easily obtainable while on my acoustic...not so much.
But there are so many more options it just boggles my mind. I'll this again soon! Thanks everyone!
