This one is dedicated to a little lady.
I have to brag. I had the day off (Christmas Eve) and this little project went from a blank sheet of music paper in the morning to what you hear now in about 8 hours. Muses were actually speaking to me for once. I have a couple more ideas I'd like to work in but I need to woodshed on the drums a lot first.
gotta love surf music. I grew up with it. I like the double voicings. really updates and old genre.
I'm new to the soundclick thing, that track got a surprising number of plays. Also I threw some tracks from my "back catalog" up there of equally low quality, those did OK too and one of them even got a couple downloads.
I like surf mostly because it's easy to compose and perform, I can (almost) play all the parts. It's a great learning vehicle. But there's sort of a limit to where you can go with it, instrumental surf is a vehicle without a payload. It'll keep me busy for the next few years though.
