This is my second attempt to record a song with myself singing
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=407510&songID=3462437
It is the first 3 verses of the Animals lyrics
I first recorded the guitar on one track in KAE and after that the vocal track.
I then added some compression and reverb to the guitar and compression and EQ to vocal.
Then I exported the guitar and vocal tracks to Audacity where I converted the wave file to MP3.

What do think you of this singing and guitar playing attempt ?

Way to go man!!! I've been trying to do the same thing for the first time in the last month or so. That's a hard song for me to sing. For some reason I can do better with the capo on the 2nd or 4th fret? I don't know why since I have very little range in my voice. You were a bit strained in a few places but nothing you cant fix with a little work. BTW last
Thanksgiving I was at my sisters house and I was playing guitar to that song while my brother in laws mother and sister sang the words to "Amazing Grace to the Melody of "House of the Rising Sun" It sounds very cool ( they are both excellent singers) :D :D :D

Thanks smokindog

And yes , the lowest notes ( open A and open E strings) are on (or below) the limits for my voice .
I need to find another not in the chords or jump up to higher A/E too sing on.

And using an capo is not bad idea.
