I never heard of this song, but it was in my Total Guitar Mag, and I liked it. It's an old Fleetwood Mac song (before they went pop) with Peter Green playing guitar.

It's called "I Loved another woman" - the backing track is very short. I am still working on the solo part, which adds a bit to the end.....

I never realized how hard it is to play with a clean sound and lots of bends - I still have way too much string noise, and the bends are not as good as they should be....but please have a listen and let me know what you think....

Thanks!!

....and feel free to listen to the other stuff on my dmusic site and critique. The most recent additions are "Wake me up when Sept Ends" and "Ten Years Gone"

Its a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.

sounded pretty good to me. :D Keep it up.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW--What a Ride!"

I like it.
For me the clean guitar has the sound of Santana in Black Magic Woman.

Nice clean sound. I liked it.

I also liked the G&R Knocking on heavens door and I know that one so it was easier to compare.

Very cool. I love Peter Green and this era of Fleetwood Mac. He's one of my all time favorites.

Don't know if you know this or not, but Black Magic Woman was in fact first written and performed by Peter Green, and Carlos has stated many times over the years that Green was a huge influence in his own playing.

Sounds amazing. Can definitly hear the black magic woman sound everyone is talking about.

Nice playing, love the tone. I can't hear the extra string noise you were talking about.

Sounds GOOD.

Hey, that was really good.

I, too, didn't hear the string buzz.

Nice job!!

Thanks for all the complements guys.....I've been playing for about 4 years (I played when I was young, but took a 20 year vacation)..Guitar became my mid-life crisis outlet. I don't play as much as I'd like, but it's my stress relief.

Its a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.
