I've already showed the 'first drafts' of most songs I want to use but this one has been hidden away till know. It's probably one of my poppiest tunes, hope people won't mind too much.

I Still Think of You
I tried to erase you from my mind
But I failed
I still think of you
Yes I do
Yes I do
I tried to forget you
But I failed
I still think of you

But if you ever miss me
Or need someone to break free
I will run away
And if you don't believe me
Don't be surprised when you'll see
I'm running away

Sounds good! What did you use to record this? The drum sound a little dry considering how wet the rest of the mix is...

I like the mix though especially the crowd noise at the beginning.

I played the piano track on my px110 digital piano and rendered it with the grand. Drums are from Groove Agent, the synth lines in the beginning are the ARP2600, the electric bass is Trilogy, the bass-section and French horn-section is from Garritan Personal orchestra and the electric guitar is a Dean Avalanche H into the Boss GT8.

Thanks for listening, I'll think about the comment you made about the drums. 8)

Poppy?
Hmmm Mellow pop.
Is that an oxymoron?

I liked it. It had me tapping my foot.
Nice beat. Good guitar part.
Lyrics fit the mood.
A bit off note on "away".
I wonder what a viola or cello playing vocal melody would sound like.
I loved those strings in your defunti piece.

Wasn't sure what was wet or dry.
Not familiar with those terms regarding music.
Could someone explain?

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

wet/dry - I always sorta associate that with the ambience of the recording....the amount of reverb used and the room acoustics generally. altho others may have a totally different take on it. in this instance, the idea would be that the drums being 'dry' sound like they're not part of the same recording as everything else which is 'wet'. but I didn't think there was too much of a distinction, if anything, I think the drums were a little too low in the mix, and maybe not bassy enough, but again that's personal taste.

nice tune though, and I liked the crowd sounds, too.

Nice. I really like the bass line :D Your guitar playing is better than usual ( Not thats its ever bad) I liked this one more than most of yours, and I like most of yours 8) My only critique would be that the piano could be a bit more dynamic. That might just be the mix? Very cool 8)

This pretty much hit the wet/dry thing on the head....basically referring to the "space" the instruments are recording in and how large/small it sounds that space is.
