Hello,

If you like instrumental guitar rock with lots of riffs and solos, please check out the DEMO on http://www.jackwinder.nl

I'm curious about your opinion on the demo and site... so thanks for your comment!

Sounds cool man. I have to say though, the drums don't really turn my crank. There's spots in there where the drums get kinda cool but in other spots I feel like he's just keeping time. It's just my opinion. At any rate you playing is great. Second nature sounds the most natural. Go figure, considering the layers of guitars. Cool stuff.

Thanks for your comment! And yeah...your probably right. I am not a drummer and programmed the drumcomputer myself. It surprises me that I don't get more critics on that :? . Next CD I will ask a real drummer (and bass player) to back me up. Do you think the site is oke and that the planned serie about (practical) soloing could be interesting for guitar players?

Are you a guitar player yourself and do you you have sound samples too?

I kinda figured it was a drum machine, in whic case, great job on the programming. Yeah the site is great. You know we guitarists can always use some advice. Especially those of us(myself included) who aren't particularly skilled. I think it's great that you're trying to pass on those ground rules. A lot of guys try to keep their ideas to themselves. Sort of hide their "secrets". The thing is, who wants to hear more crappy guitarists? I wish every musician could and had the desire to show something unique of themselves instead of rehashing the same old riffs. On the other hand we all have to start somewhere.

Okay... I like to have commens on the site because I just launched it and want to go on with sharing my experiences and hope to give (young) guitar players a hint to look after the emotion and purity of soloing also. I hear too many technical Vai's on Ibanez guitars who....quite frankly....all sound the same to me. I don't have to be famous as guitar player so I have no secrets...

I listened to some of your songs on your site. Here I do hear real music that is reaching me. Don't apoligize for the sound quality however because the music on its own is fine to listen to.

I don't really have much to say. You're playing sounds great to me. Technical, but there is more a lot more to it than that. I get the feeling you were inspired by Eddie Van Halen?

Thanks. It all began with Van Halen indeed; you can see that on my web site although I have not listened to him for a long time now. My other influences are Gary Moore, John Sykes, Yngwie Malmsteen, Blues Saraceno, John Norum etc.

This week I start a column about "to the point soloing" where emotion/feeling is a big part of it. I hope guitar players will enjoy that and will see that there is more to it then just playing (Vai) technical....

Are you a guitar player and who were your influences?

Charvy, we're all guitar players here....from beginners to very experienced...it's a site where anyone can join in, ask questions, give tips etc...

As to your site, it's nice to see someone giving something back...you obviously get a lot of pleasure from playing guitar and want to help others...that's refreshing!!!

:D :D :D

Well....I'm a big fan of his so some influence will be there, although I really think that sounding too much like some one else is not a good thing but every one knows that

Thank you Vic for your comment. I think this is a great forum and oppertunity to exchange information. About my site: It just started with my CD and the positive reactions on it in Holland. So my brother (also guitarist) advised me to make a web site and promote the CD. But I rather give some support to other guitar players who like what I'm doing and maybe they can use some of it. That's all to it. I just finished my first article about soloing and will put it on-line this week....I hope people will enjoy it.....

I went to Amsterdam in March, had a fabulous time...did the usual touristy things, a ride on the canal boat, trip to the red light district etc...

We stayed in Dam Square, at the Krasnapolsky Hotel...do you know it?
And we spent a lot of time in Stone's Bar...turned right as we came out of the hotel door, just a couple of hundred yards ....have you seen the two oil paintings in there? One of the Stones at the Rock'n'Roll Circus, and another of Keith....

I went to Texas recently, played my first open mic at the Fallout Lounge in Dallas...I was wearing a "Stones Bar" t-shirt that night!!!

Amsterdam is definitely top of my list of places to go back to....

And next time, I'll take a guitar!!!!

:D :D :D
