I just finished listening to this. Very nice. And it did indeed give me the feeling of a march.
Man I love those string sounds. Just a thought but, have you considered stringing some of these songs together as movements in a larger piece? Very nice work. Though the song reminds me of Rachminnanoff I can picture a man or men trudging through the desert, stopping on occasion to assess their situation but only to find there is no relief in sight. Okay, maybe I'm reading too much into it but it's very cinematic to my ears.
