This is my first real attempt to put something together as an entire song. I updated it today and added a chorus section. It's still a work in progress..

I recorded this using a Berhinger V-AMP and an Ibanez Artist. The drums are using the Session Drummer in Sonar 3.

Please let me know what you think. I know it just ends abruptly for now - and the solo blows.......

Its a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.

Sounds like a good start to me. It could even be kept an instrumental if you create a catchy theme for the lead guitar that complements the rhythm and put it together with some different movements (e.g., dense rhythm, then sparser bass/drums only and /or change voicing/rhythm of rhythm guitar). Lots of possibilities. Keep at it.

Curious: Which Artist do you have -- that name covers a lot of Ibanez models?

I have the Artist 250. Got it this summer for a 'steal' at Guitar Center - it was a closeout / discontinued item.

I was looking for a Les-Paul sound-alike - Mahogany body / humbuckers to compliment my Strat.....

Good guitar -- I had one of the originals in the series many years ago. Never should have traded it. Keep thinking I should get one again, as I like them better than LPs.

I like the idea!! Remindes me of Quake II, which isn't a bad thing at all... :D
Just one thing: Maybe you should separate your guitars? one rythmguitar is more on the left side and the other rythm guitar is more on the right side of the spectrum. The lead-guitar could stay in the middle than, or you could pan it a bit or move it around. have fun!
:)

NO MORE THEORY!!
um...
KNOW MORE THEORY!!!!
